Diablo III fans have a lot to be excited for, as a classic class from the original game is set to arrive in the form of the Necromancer. However, before they truly arrive, Blizzard wants to do a Beta Test for them, to ensure that the quality of the character is there and that there are no serious bugs or balancing issues that they haven’t seen yet. They’ve revealed that the invitations for the Beta Test will be going out soon, so keep an eye on your inboxes.
Blizzard asks that if you are invited to the Beta Test that you let them know your thoughts about how it looks and feels on the forums in Battle.net. Also, if you can take screenshots of your experiences or any bugs you find, that would be helpful to them. They note that your feedback will affect the game, as both the Necromancer inclusion and the rest of Patch 2.6 is still in development. But that’s ok because your feedback will likely make the Necromancer and other changes perform better so that when it’s released to the rest of the public it won’t be as buggy.
Now, if you want in on this Beta Test, you still can get in. All you need to do is go to your Beta Profile Setting page, select Diablo, and ask to be let into the Necromancer beta. Blizzard says that this is the best way to get in, so don’t miss out on your chance. Especially since Blizzard is unsure of how many Diablo III players they’ll actually let into this test. More could be added based on the needs of the team, but that’s not a guarantee.
There’s no set date for when the beta will end, however, Blizzard has said that they will inform players who are in the test when the beta will likely end.
