There are always fellow Diablo fans on hand to put forward ideas on how to improve the latest game. With that in mind, could the action RPG experience be enhanced even further by adding an Arcade Mode?
This would be a familiar trend for Blizzard games, working in a similar way to how Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawl and Overwatch’s Arcade Mode works. What this offers is a break up of any mundane feelings that may occur after such a long period of time of the game being out. This I feel in particular helped with Overwatch from a personal perspective, which offered something fresh and different from the other modes available.
As suggested by Diablo fan AZURA26, Diablo III could set something different aside for those who have grown weary of rifting and other aspects which some may feel have run its course. For example, a battle arena could be introduced, with a 3 on 3 Team Deathmatch mode made up of “Two teams of three pre-equipped level 70 characters battle in an arena (for balance reasons)” before moving up a ranked ladder in each season.
Another interesting addition could be a Boss Rush mode, in which a partner and yourself take on all five bosses in Diablo III in an attempt to defeat them in the fastest time possible. This could then be recorded on a weekly leaderboard, and adopt the same pre-equipped level 70 characters as the previously mentioned Team Deathmatch.
The proposed Arcade Mode could also feature a different take on rifting with Chaos Rift. Completing this would use specific classes and skills, which would alternate each week, with rewards depending on which difficulty you complete it on.
We’d like to thank Reddit user AZURA26 for these suggestions. Whether Blizzard would introduce this PvP element to Diablo III reamins to be seen, though many have requested the feature in the past.
