The PlayStation VR (PS VR) is still trying to make a name for itself. While it does have titles, it’s still a learning curve to not only get it into the hands of gamers, but to make games that they’ll want to play long term. VR is still new in many ways, so having more games for the PS VR is a good thing. Which brings us to a title that’ll arrive Tuesday, Dexed.
As defined by Ninja Theory’s Fran Mead, Dexed is an on-rails shooter for the PS VR. It’s actually inspired by titles like Panzer Dragoon. In it, you’ll have two blasters, one controls fire, the other controls ice. You’ll travel through beautifully detailed worlds, and fight enemies that come at you. Adding to the title is that you’ll have to be skillful with how you use your blasters. As some enemies can only be killed by your fire blasts, while others can only be killed by ice bolts. Add to that the ability to do cool combos, and you got an action packed title.
The game offers an Endless Arcade Mode, where you’ll be bombarded by enemies, and have to be fast and clever in order to survive. The better you do, the higher you’ll get on the leaderboards.
Want something a little more visually appealing? Well, Dexed has a Zen Mode, where you’ll explore the beautiful worlds without fear of getting attacked. Since this is a VR game, this would actually be pretty cool based on what we’re seeing from the game.
Ninja Theory is very happy with Dexed, as they feel it matches what they try to do with all their games. Some unique, but with Ninja Theory style. If you have a PS VR, you might want to check this out on Tuesday. And if you do play it, let us know what you think!
