Epic Games released further information today on the details of the Paragon Exhibition 2017, the first official esports tournament for their MOBA. Four teams will compete in Raleigh, North Carolina, for a first place purse of $12,500, and the often-more-sought-after title of Champion.

Paragon Exhibition 2017

Teams from around the world competed in regional qualifiers to see who would earn the honor of representing their region in the group stage of the Paragon Exhibition 2017. When the dust settled, two teams remained from each of North America and Europe, For NA, those were Reborn and Team Oxygen. Their European counterparts are Think Twice and Toronto Esports. The group stage will begin on August 4th, pitting Reborn against Toronto Esports, and Team Oxygen against Think Twice.

That group stage will seed the four teams into the semifinal matches, with the finals set to take place between the two strongest teams on August 6th. The matches will stream live via Twitch on Paragon’s own stream. The tournament kicks off August 4th at 11 a.m. EST.

Following the tournament, a special exhibition match will take place on the upcoming v.42 update. This will be the first live match on the patch, showcasing a special sneak peak at some of the MOBA’s new features.

Players can support their favorite teams with limited-time in-game banners. The Stand United, Union, and Brotherhood banners will be available in the shop for 600 coins starting tomorrow, August 1st. They’ll go for 600 coins a piece, and are a nice way for players to show their colors over the bodies of the fallen.

For more information, including the announcement of the on-air talent for the stream, head over to Paragon’s official site.
