Despite Bungie’s recent announcement that it would be shifting its focus to the highly anticipated Destiny 2, the passionate fanbase of the original game are continuing to come up with ideas on how they could wrap it up in the best fashion.
Bungie has suggested that the recently introduced Age of Triumph would be the last major implementation made before the sequel hits. This update brought a wealth of new features and past content to Destiny, inviting both old and new fans to experience the shared world shooter one more time before September comes around.
Over on Reddit, fans continue to put forward suggestions as to what would be an ideal way to bring down the curtain on Destiny. One idea in particular, coming from user VictrixCausa, suggests that the last four weeks of the game before the sequel’s release should include Daybreak Raids.
We’ve heard Daybreak Raids come up before among the Bungie community, in which the idea would be that players would have one month to complete the raid, and players would be wiped from orbit and lose their latest checkpoints when they succumb to death, but also with great rewards for the victor.
VictrixCausa states: “just let us go in there and wreck some Darkness like the Zombie Demigods we are. Ideally, this would simply be another difficulty level, so anyone who wants to do the traditional raids could still do so”
The post continues to imply that this isn’t a ploy to finish raid challenges quicker, but rather a way of having one hell of a time to close out Destiny, with an armada of hardened enemies and a plethora of orbs to go with it.
