Destiny 2 has officially gone into beta, and players from all over are taking in the sights, sounds, and fights that they can get in it. Naturally, it’s through this beta process that the game will grow before its September 6th launch, as bugs and other imbalances will be found and reported. But it can also be used to show the flaws in the game, even if those flaws are being caused by other players.
One of the big things that Destiny 2 does is offer many ways to do PVP combat. One of which is having intense 4v4 or even 6v6 matches. But, as some Redditors are noting, when players leave those matches, it can really screw over others.
“Unless you’re a god tier player, someone leaving a 4v4 cause they just can’t stand to lose or whatever is a death sentence. 5v6 was doable. 4v3 just doesn’t work.” notes bubbamaximus47
Now, what’s key here is that at present, it seems that Destiny 2 won’t replace players who have left the game. If they did, it might balance things back out, but, because they don’t, it leaves players high and dry. Or at least, those who aren’t “god tier”, which apparently there are some on the Reddit forums.
Other players are lamenting that this is just the start of the problems for 4v4, and some are even going so far as to say that this is a problem with what Destiny 2 is overall: inconsistent.
For player hard_ticket_to_venus, he notes that Destiny 2 doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. It’s trying to be a PVP with a deep story, but misses bringing in standard or even key features to the PVP that makes the game more enjoyable and fair.
What do you think? Is this is a small part of a larger problem? Or should people just wait for the full game to release before it arrives? Let us know in the comments below.
