A beta for a game is a good indication of what players can expect from the title when it releases. But a beta is alsomeant to help grow the game, so if there are problems, the beta will reveal them and then they can be fixed (hopefully) before the game is launched. Bungie recently held a beta for Destiny 2. They even extended it an extra day to ensure that as many people could play it as possible, while also looking for possible flaws. Since it’s now over, what did the players think of it?
So, on Reddit, user KFabe2482 asked as simple question:
“The beta is officially over. On a scale of 1-10, how hyped are you for Destiny 2?”
He himself gave it a 9, but what about other players? Well, it varies depending on the person who replied. Some people gave it a middling hype score, like a 6 or a 7. Some don’t like how PvP is “ruining PvE”, which is something that was noted a few days back by many. Others don’t like the weapon system that is in the game, saying that the changes don’t make sense to them.
That being said, there are others who happily proclaim their hype to be at a 9 or higher. Some note that the beta (and the upcoming game) is going to be really fun to play with friends, and that it’s the way they keep in touch. Some can’t wait to try out some of the skilltrees, and others can’t wait to see how the story and other modes play out.
There were a few who noted that they likely won’t be getting Destiny 2 after their experience with the beta, but those were very much in the minority. So, where is your hype right now? Are you excited for the games release? Or are you wavering? Let us know in the comments below.
