Destiny 2 is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, and in fact, its coming out in September, which isn’t too far away at present. Not surprisingly, developer Bungie is wanting to make sure that the game is in top shape, so, they’ve been doing a series of beta tests, the most recent one starting up today. Unlike previous betas, you won’t need a key, this will be open to everyone so that the game can be thoroughly tested by those who will be getting it more than likely.
Now, as for what you can expect in this beta. You’ll get to play the opening mission in Destiny 2, which is called Homecoming. You’ll also get a tease of the campaign through the cinematics that will be shown off. Furthermore, you’ll get to check out the Countdown Mode that’ll take place on the Endless Vale map, which is something entirely new this go round.
You can also take part in battles with friends via the Inverted Spire. So no matter what style you like to play in, it appears that the Destiny 2 beta has something for you. And since this is just the beta, that means that all this content is just the beginning of what’s in store for when the full game is released.
Destiny 2 is aiming to be bigger and better than the original in many ways. First off, the story campaign is going to be much bigger this time around. Then there will be plenty of new modes for you to partake in both alone and with friends. Add that to new weapons and gear, a new “social space” that’s going to grow, and more, and it’s clear that Bungie is trying to make this game even more special than the first.
Destiny 2 arrives on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th.
