Earlier, we reported on players being banned from Destiny 2, for what on the surface appeared to be for the use of third-party programs and Discord overlays. Since these are used as a rather common practice on PC, and Bungie also previously stating that although they may not work with the game they wouldn’t constitute a ban, players have been left baffled as to why they may have been banned.
With several Destiny 2 PC players suffering from this ban, and Bungie reassuring that the use of performance-enhancing software isn’t the cause, then it has left those hit completely in the dark. Since then, Battle.net has updated the support page regarding bans, stating the following:
All Destiny 2 bans and restrictions are implemented by Bungie, and cannot be appealed.
his situation has left players scratching their heads as to why they have been left with such restrictions. Some believe that it could be the ban filter bugging out, whilst others accept that there’s not a lot Battle.net can actually do regarding the matter, which supports the statement they left above.
Reddit user The–Marf has left some photographic evidence which you can see below, and has also stated that Destiny 1 is still accessible:
Time will tell as to when or how Bungie will address this, but the news from Battle.net is far from encouraging if you have been banned without any reason.
