Behaviour Interactive, Starbreeze Publishing and 505 Games have announced that the highly successful PC horror game Dead by Daylight has finally arrived on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Dead by Daylight presents an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in a 4vs1 format, as one player assumes the role of the killer, and four others as the survivors who frantically attempt to survive the night. The killer’s objective is simple; hunt down and kill your victims in a first-person perspective. Survivors meanwhile must avoid being caught and killed, and will play in third-person.

The game released last year in June on PC, and has already sold over 1.8 million copies on Steam, becoming an immediate hit for streamers on Twitch and similar platforms. Its developed by Behaviour Digital and published by Starbreeze Studios, and will hopefully enjoy the same success on consoles.

The special edition of the game includes all the main killers and survivors along with the main maps. The killers included are The Hag and The Doctor, along with outfits for both killers and survivors. Additional survivors include Ace and Feng, along with Léry’s Memorial Institute and Backwater Swamp maps.

Dead by Daylight has already proven to be a hit amongst horror gamers in its first year since release on Steam, which is emphasized by its sales in a short amount of time. With its release on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, hopefully this will grow the game’s player base significantly and help raise awareness of the brand going forward.

The special edition of Dead by Daylight will be available for £24.99.
