There are a lot of mixed opinions about the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 game, the third entry in the Dawn of War series. Dawn of War III is attempting to bring the Warhammer 40,000 franchise to its strategy roots. The developers are doing their best to make the game as appealing as possible to Warhammer fans. We still have no idea if they game will be any good, but judging from the latest trailer, we are going to get a Dawn of War game in which lots of armies clash in one enormous battle full of lasers, explosions, death, and glory.
We once again get to see huge armies face off in glorious battles much like what happened in the first Dawn of War. Lots of units on the screen followed by explosions, bullets, and dead bodies. That’s what Dawn of War is about and we finally get to see it again. Dawn of War III is also bringing some large units to deliver death on the battlefield: the Space Marines are getting the Imperial Knights, the Eldar are getting Wraithknights, and Orks have their Gorkanauts.
We see lots of units in the trailer going against each other and others using certain special abilities such as the Assault Squad with their jump packs to crash into units on the ground from the sky. Every unit has a few special abilities that would greatly increase micromanaging in the game and as a strategy game, micromanaging is imperative.
Dawn of War III is looking like an awesome Warhammer 40,000 strategy game, one that fans of the genre have been waiting for a long time after Dawn of War II. You can watch the trailer down below.
