Dark and Light Announces Bestiary Feature

Dark and Light is an upcoming fantasy sandbox MMORPG from Snail USA. The game is gearing up to launch into Early Access later this year and has been consistently updated by the developers for months now. Today, it was announced that there will be a bestiary feature available in Early Access.

Dark and Light Wolf BestiaryThe bestiary is designed to show players a detailed overview of any creature they come across during their travels in the Dark and Light universe. According to the Steam post, “Every creature in Dark and Light has its own creature card in the Bestiary.” From wolves to dark elementals, this feature has you covered!

After successfully taming or killing any creature in the game, that creature’s card will become available to you and you will have access to additional information about it. This includes things like location, lore, and elemental affinities and immunities. Even if you haven’t seen a certain creature before, you can still find out some basic information such as what it likes to eat, how aggressive it is, whether or not it is tameable, and whether or not it can be used as a mount once tamed.

Each card is carefully illustrated, though the developers make a point in saying some of the names and pictures found on the cards will likely be changed before the Early Access period of the game. This addition will certainly help keep track of Dark and Light’s massive world and the beasts that reside in certain locations, and provide some extra bits of story for those who are willing to read.
