What seems to be too common a theme is the level of criticism that Destiny 2 has faced so far prior to its launch. Understandably, there were issues with the original game, which many are portraying onto the anticipated sequel set to launch this September.

One of the issues that seems to be troubling many is Bungie’s focus on PvP, and how it ultimately affects the PvE aspect of the game. According to player feedback on Reddit, there is a lack of balance to PvE, which has taken many traits from the PvP segment and has ultimately made parts of it stagnant.

For example, the time taken to charge abilities seems to be a key issue. Reddit user MonkeysxMoo35 states:

Supers and abilities take FOREVER to recharge. I used my super THREE TIMES in the Strike. Three.

Another issue appears to be with grenades, which although have been nerfed since Bungie decided they don’t want one-hit kills with them anymore, they have perhaps been nerfed a bit too harshly. Similar to supers and abilities, grenades also take a while to recharge, and they don’t appear to do much damage when they are used.

The problem is that if things are taking too long to charge, it makes for a pretty boring time in terms of PvE. If you’re stood around waiting to use your super, then you’re just blasting enemies over a period of time until you can finally do so.

If ability cooldowns could be reduced, it would make the world of difference to that particular part of the game at least. Keep in mind that the game is currently in beta, so there’s still plenty of time for such a request to be implemented.
