If you’re ready to enter the world of Hyberion like never before, you’ll only have to wait a few more months. As developer Funcom has revealed that their survival game featuring the legendary Conan the Barbarian is coming PS4, Xbox One, and PC in full on May 8th, 2018. The game is currently on Steam Early Access and Xbox One Game Preview, and through fan feedback has been slowly growing in quality and content. And so, with them giving their release date, it’s clear they’re confident enough with the progress it has made to give a full release.
But wait, there’s more, for the team revealed on Steam that the game won’t just be available in digital stores:
“Not only will it be available digitally on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, we’re also teaming up with Koch Media to bring Conan Exiles to retail stores around the world.”
That too is a big honor, and one that might just bring even more players to the game, as some gamers don’t like doing digital titles. Furthermore, if you pre-order the Day One copy, you’ll get a map showcasing the world of the game, and have access to an exclusive item, Conan’s Atlantean Sword. Pre-orders are available now.
Now, if you’re a part of the game’s Early Access or Preview setting, don’t worry, you’ll get the full game at launch, and you’ll still be able to help make the game better before its launch. But, you’ll also be rewarded for your loyalty via Conan’s Royal Armor.
If you’re wondering the price of Conan Exiles once May 8th comes, the PC version will be $39.99, whereas the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be $49.99. For the record, that’s $10 higher than the current prices of the Steam Early Access and Xbox Preview programs. And while the Early Access price will remain the same, the Xbox Preview price will go up after this week. So if you want to save money, you better jump on it now.
