Kickstarter is a great place for game developers who are otherwise strapped for cash. If one can present a solid project, it is likely that it will be funded. In the case of Re: Legend, the game has been funded almost two times over with 26 days to go!

Re: Legend describes itself as “An all-encompassing RPG-simulator hybrid” that boasts a number of unique and borrowed features from everyone’s favorite games like a taming and raising of monsters, farming, building, and a slew of other skills like cooking and mining. This is all wrapped up in a multiplayer world with customizable characters and romance-able NPCs.

“Washed ashore on Vokka Island without memories, you start a new life and find ways to recover your lost memories.”

Up to 4 players can inhabit the Re: Legend world and experience the story and game in tandem. They will have to work together to defeat bosses and build up their village. Each player can choose how to build their characters in terms of armour and the stats that come with said armour. The Kickstarter page states that any armour “can be used as vanity as well to mask over the current equipment that you are wearing.”

The official soundtrack for Re: Legend was created by three brilliant composers and recorded live by the Video Game Orchestra. Shota Nokama from final Fantasy XV, Falk Au Yeong from countless projects, and Yoshitaka Suzuki from the Metal Gear series have all contributed to Re: Legend’s soundtrack.

Currently, the game will only be available on Steam, but if it reaches certain funding goals, it will also be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. If Re: Legend seems like your kind of game, be sure to give the Kickstarter a look. There are a number of pledge tiers ranging between $14 and $5000 USD that include things like digital copies of the game, plushies, art books, and the ability to design your own weapons, armour, and monsters!
