Cities: Skylines is a modern day city simulation video game that introduces some complex elements to the city building genre, all the while creating an immersive and captivating experience. Xbox One users that always wanted to try Paradox Interactive’s alternative in this genre will get to build and manage their own cities in Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition. Today saw the release of a new trailer that showcases the game’s graphics, controls, and gameplay.
The PC community absolutely loved Cities: Skylines, especially because of how much depth the game has as a city builder and city manager game. Now, Xbox One users will get to experience the same thing. Design your own districts, control the flow of the traffic and utilize the day and night cycle to ensure that your city functions well when the sun is shining bright and when night comes. This sort of game presents many difficulties in transferring over to a console because of all the micromanaging that has to be done, as well as all the details that you have to carefully take care of yourself. That often requires the precise control that a mouse and keyboard offer PC gamers. We all know that consoles don’t have a mouse, but judging from the trailer, Tantalus Media, the developer behind the Xbox One Edition, managed to make the controls as precise as possible when using a controller. Hopefully, this should allow players to manage their city and place new buildings, roads, and zones without much trouble.
What do you think, how will Cities: Skylines work on Xbox One? The graphics seem to be as good as ever, so as long as the controls feel smooth and precise, Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition should be able to rival its original PC counterpart.
