Xbox One owners have something to be excited about as the brilliant city builder/management game Cities: Skylines is making its way to Microsoft’s popular console. Cities: Skylines is an award-winning city manager game that was a huge hit with gamers as it came at a time where most city builder/management games offered dull, tedious gameplay. Skylines managed to make the gameplay interesting, interactive, and most of all, really fun. Xbox One owners are now getting this amazing game with Cities: Skylines – Xbox One Edition, which also includes the game’s first expansion, After Dark.
Most people will ask “Don’t city building games need a lot of precise controls for placing buildings, roads, and such things?” That is a good question. As we all know, the controllers for consoles don’t really have the precision of a computer’s mouse, but judging from the trailer, the controls seem to work with enough precision. It won’t be as easy as with a mouse, but it definitely looks quite smooth, which is necessary when you start placing buildings next to each other all the while trying to make the best of the available space. The graphics also look amazing, as expected from the current generation of consoles.
You’ll be taking care of your city, making sure it grows, and managing it so it can become a huge metropolis. The Xbox One Edition also comes with the game’s first expansion, After Dark, in which you have to utilize the day and night cycle to your advantage.
Cities: Skylines is a sandbox building/management game developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive. It is currently available for Windows PC, Mac, and Linux through Steam and it’s set to release on Xbox One and Windows 10 this Spring.
