The team behind Chronicles of Elyria are working hard to get their game closer and closer to its Alpha stage. Since getting funded on Kickstarter one year ago, they’ve been going non-stop to advance their title, as well as update players and backers on what is going on and what to expect going forward. As they note on their website, they do lots of work by dividing up into groups and taking on several challenges at once. They call them “adventure parties” and they feel it helps get them into the right frame of mind. Now, they’ve revealed their parties and how their latest “quests” have gone.
In the Elyrian Zoological Society, it’s been shown that their main focus at present is to get horses not only made, but animated, and ready to be used in the game. For the record, Chronicles of Elyria will have other kinds of steeds for you to use, but to them, this is the main priority. And of course, they want it to look good as well as ride good.
Then, the League of Extraordinary Locomotion has been working hard to make sure that the player character animations have been going OK, as well as adding new features to them like Dynamic Jumping. By that, they mean that every character in the game will have their own jump based on race, height, weight, etc. They want that uniqueness in their game, thus why they’re working hard on it.
With the Asset Archival Alliance, their job is to help organize every asset in Chronicles of Elyria. The team admits this doesn’t help the game overall from a player standpoint, but from a developer standpoint, it’ll be a big boon to them.
Finally, The Tribe Foundry is working on concept art for the 12 tribes found in the game. They’re also detailing what they’re all about. One of those will be revealed soon.
There were more details in the post, so be sure to check it out and find out what else is being done in the game.
