Camelot Unchained is a large scale MMORPG set in the mythical land that has players be a part of one of three realms and then fight for glory as well as power. Because of the very massive size of the game, and because it’s being funded by those who want to play it, the team behind the game give weekly updates for it. The latest one has come out and reveals a lot about the teams progress.
First off, the producer (who wrote the update) noted that the team seems to be working harder than ever just to get as much done in a week as possible. So much so that they can’t believe when it’s Friday. He chalks it up to numerous factors, though he can’t specifically say which is the true factor, but he’s just proud that the team is doing so much.
One of the big updates they’ve done during the week, and continue to monitor and improve is the particle system for the VFX/SFX system. The Camelot Unchained team has been working on this for month, and they’re in the final stretch for a “code drop” that’ll truly implement it into the game. Then, they’ll start cycling out old effects for the new ones to make the game really shine.
They’ve also been implementing new cases of manual aiming for characters. They want Camelot Unchained to be “fun and easy-to-use,” and they’re not above changing the system to help you, the player. So if you’re part of the testing, and you don’t like something, give them a shout!
They’re still working on the jumping animations by request of the players, as well as the team, and they’re working on making it a fully functional system of its own. Including giving it new features like a running jump, a jump height based on how hard the players input on the button is, and more.
The updates will continue to come out, so stay tuned for more.
