Camelot Unchained is a very large-scale MMORPG that is in development by City State Entertainment. The goal is to create a game with three massive and unique realms for players to inhabit, then, go to war with. With such goals and scale, the team feels it is imperative to let the hopeful player base know exactly what’s going on with the game via weekly updates. The latest of these updates was recently released.
In their update, they lament that while they’ve made progress in many areas, there are some that are a struggle. For example, the team is trying to find a bug that was causing issues for them in recent tests. Yet, they’re unable to reproduce it in the ways they’ve done before. Usually, this would mean the bug has been fixed, yet, they’re unconvinced and don’t want to just dismiss it as they feel it could come back to haunt them later.
However, they can happily report that player feedback (via backers for the game) have helped solve many bugs and glitches within Camelot Unchained. It is through this communication that the team truly believes the game will be very refined by the time the launch hits.
Another big improvement is with the art and animation system. For now, characters don’t just have weapons on them, but they use them appropriately via animations and stances. So now, they look a lot more natural. Furthermore, the team has refined and adjusted animations so that they run the entire length of an ability and don’t cut off short. Plus, more and more weapons are being detailed and rendered so that they can be put into the game very soon.
There’s a lot more that was changed in Camelot Unchained this week. Be sure to check out the full rundown so you know what to expect if you get to play the next version of the game.
