As Destiny fans, we are fully aware of what lies ahead in the future for the franchise. At this moment, the recently introduced Age of Triumph is serving the first game as the closing chapter before the eagerly-awaited sequel, which is set to arrive in September.

Whilst Age of Triumph brings a plethora of old and new content to sustain any Destiny player both old and new, suggestions are still pouring in over the internet on what would truly be the icing on the cake for the game. For example, Reddit user Hawkmoona_Matata recently put forward an idea a public Cabal Patrol Event to help aid the transition between Destiny 1 and 2.

This could potentially be an interesting way to tease the Cabal Empire’s presence in Destiny 2, with the user’s post describing it as having “scouting parties setting up shop in all the spaces we know and love” to help build anticipation to the next game. The post continues to describe how this could work, one way in which could be simply introducing Cabal Harvester ships that drop off troops at outdoor patrol locations. Or perhaps Bungie could have players facing off against waves of enemies in a similar style to House of Wolves. The entire original post is definitely worth a read if the concept grabs you.

Either way, with the ever-expanding entity that is Destiny, it would be fascinating to see something like this being brought in before the next game. Would you like to see any further content in Destiny, or are you content with Age of Triumph? Let us know in the comments section below.
