Bungie Need to Crack Down on Cheaters When Destiny 2 Arrives

So far, suggestions are coming in thick and fast in what Destiny 2 needs to improve on in the original game. There’s thread after thread out there that aren’t hard to find based on what needs to be worked on for the anticipated sequel, more often than not referring to content or gameplay mechanics.

On the subject of gameplay, one issue in particular that has been cropping up for many, one which is wanting Bungie to not be hesitant with the ol’ banhammer when the game eventually releases. This of course, is based on cheaters who prey on some of the most important issues that are paramount to Destiny.

This is often referring to connection manipulation, which is important given that the game takes place in a multiplayer environment. So, when a player has the ability to DDOS they gain a massive advantage on their opponents. Connection issues are a frequent complaint for many players, with certain users unable to pull off a kill when their connection is bad.

With that in mind, are Bungie doing enough to ban players who are guilty of manipulating players’ connections in Destiny? Bungie are considered by some as more relaxed than other companies in terms of their stance on cheating, so hopefully they will crack down when it comes to Destiny 2, improving upon this aspect at the very least going forward.

Do you feel that Bungie are harsh enough on cheaters? Let us know your thoughts on the issue in the comments section below.
