Blizzard has announced a new World of Warcraft companion for the MMORPG, bringing the artful fox known as Shadow. The original plan was for Blizzard to reveal Shadow at Blizzcon 2017 later this year, however following the recent natural disasters occurring around the world at the moment, they have brought the release of the charity pet forward. Proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Disaster Relief Fund.
We have seen a number of catastrophic events occurring around the world at the minute, including Hurricane Harvey and Irma, as well as flooding in South Asia and other places that have been hit by devastation. 100% of the sales will be donated for every charity pet sold between now and December 31st, 2017.
In other World of Warcraft news, an additional weekly quest and rewards are being added to the game. Players can find these all week, simply by opening their map and selecting any of the five main Broken Isles zones. A quest can be found from the Archmage Timear, found new Violet Hold in Dlaaran. This quest can be accessed from the Adventure Guide, whilst hovering over it will inform you of what tasks you need to complete. Completing 20 World Quests will reward 5,000 Order Resources, as well as a passive buff which gives +50% to Reputation gains from World Quests.
