World of Warcraft Legion PVP

For quite some time, World of Warcraft players have been talking about the poor state of PvP. Battle.net alone is full of topics started by players noting how bad the PvP in World of Warcraft is. In the players eyes, Blizzard honestly doesn’t care about the PvP, and would rather focus on the PvE content. Obviously, this has infuriated some of the fans and players. For user Babybackribb, they note that if Blizzard treated the PvE content like they did the PvP content, then WoW would be a ghost town.

The real problem in the eyes of that particular player is the balance. The balance in PvP is terrible to them, and despite promises from Blizzard to make it better, it just isn’t happening. Of the numerous PvP modes, only 3v3 seems somewhat balanced. What’s worse, lots of players don’t view PvP as a full-on mode anymore, but rather, as a mini-game of sorts.

World of Warcraft

“I see so many awesome opportunities with WoW PvP, but it seems Blizzard has its own ideas of what PvP should be like in WoW, and currently that is nothing much,” notes Babybackribb.

So where does PvP go from here for World of Warcraft? It’s hard to say. Legion does seem to be winding down, so many players are hoping that the next expansion improves PvP in a big way. However, that might be too long of a wait for some. What do you think? Is PvP in World of Warcraft too unbalanced to be any fun? Let us know.

“Legion is winding down..” Uh no. Legion hasn’t even been out a year yet.

Actually we only have like 2 seasons and a patch and a half left… Unfortunately it is already winding down.

Actually… Winding down doesn’t apply until after at least the half way point, and that won’t be until the end of August. The next expansion hasn’t even been announced yet, and likely won’t be until Blizzcon in November.

So no. It’s several months until the halfway point of Legion, much less getting to the “winding down” part.

PvP is pretty broken. Not every class is viable in arenas. But some are great in BGs instead or visa versa. I play a marksmanship hunter and assassination rogue and I’ve been around since Vanilla. Play a little of everything that way you can enjoy the playstyle you like. It’s always been that way.
It would be nice if they would put more thought into PvP, but there aren’t 17 million players anymore. It’s hard enough to find balanced factions on servers. If people were more into keeping things even, Blizzard might have more of a reason to focus on PvP.

I gave up on PvP and cancelled my sub, so have a lot of my freinds. Players are forcec to do the PvE grind now.

I hate pvp and only ever did it to complete achv./holidays or get certain mounts but even i can see the changes they made to it were not good. PVE for the solo grinder is not much better these days. Too many questlines involve having to do mythics, even completing your crafting quests! Which is a joke since they made crafting basically useless negating all the time and gold sunk into those.

PvP, which kept me subscribed for 10 years, has now turned into a meaningless sideshow. Finally unsubbed in June
