Blizzard Having Special Play Overwatch Event For Free

Overwatch is easily one of the most successful games of last year, and easily one of the most successful new IPs of the last couple years. The fast and fun shooter that has you selecting your hero and diving into battle against friends, foes, and other online players has been addictive from the word go. It’s won numerous awards and honors, and continues to grow with new events, characters, stages, and more. But now, Blizzard is offering the chance to play the game for free, likely to try and get you hooked on it yourself.

The Overwatch Free Weekend, is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a free weekend in which Overwatch can be played on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 for no charge. Plus, just about everything that’s in the paid versions of the game you’ll have access to. That includes every single character, all 24 of them, all the stages, 14 of them, and pretty much every mode, Quick Play, Custom, and Arcade. Plus, you’ll be able to level up your characters, earn them Loot Boxes, and get other customization options.

Then, if you’re feeling like Overwatch is definitely a game you’ll want to keep playing, you can buy the game after the test weekend and you’ll get to keep all of the data that you recorded in the test weekend! So no progress lost, no needing to start over, it’ll all be there.

The free weekend will run from May 26-29th. Now, there is one small catch. You will have to a PS Plus Membership, an Xbox Live Gold Membership, or (for PC) have an active account to get the free download. As long as you have one of those though, you’ll be golden.

So, if you’ve been wanting to see what all the hype was about in regards to Overwatch, now is the chance to see for yourself!

But if you don’t like Nintendo, you’re going down! lol
