Following all the news surrounding Diablo 3 at Blizzcon 2016 last week, including a 20th anniversary event that will bring the original Diablo game to Diablo 3, and the new Necromancer class being introduced, Blizzard have detailed the latest PTR patch details for the game.
A particularly interesting part of the notes details a pre-cursor the upcoming anniversary event, which will be available in full in January. The event is described as: “A mysterious group of Cultists is stirring up trouble! Hunt them down in Adventure Mode to uncover clues that reveal a portal into Tristram’s past, and rediscover the terrifying darkness that took hold of the town so many years ago…”
The Public Test Realm patch notes include a wealth of new support features, as well as other additions and fixes. In terms of hardware support, Backlit keyboards for example will now react to in-game situations such as item drops, levelling up and much more.
Several bug fixes and new items have also been implemented, such as the Talisman of Akkhan being added as the seventh piece of the Armor of Akkhan. Certain bugs have been fixed such as the Hellfire Amulet bug, where Fetishes wouldn’t correctly bring cooldown reduction of the Big Bad Voodoo. Adventure mode has received some fixes too, with certain bounties reducing the amount of enemies that need to be killed, and the Cesspools Rift map has also been adjusted to reduce enemy density and overall size.
