Developer PearlAbyss took to an offline event for their popular MMORPG Black Desert Online to tell fans what they can expect from the game in the upcoming weeks and months. Many players arrived to hear what would be coming, and they were not disappointed as new characters, vehicles, and more were revealed by the team. Here’s the highlights of what they unveiled at the event.
First up was a brand new character called “Striker”. He is a “practitioner of the oriental martial arts”. He was once a noble, but then lost his family in an unfortunate sailing accident that led to him being on a foreign land. But Striker didn’t let that weaken him, instead, with help from a master, he became a fighting machine. Oh, and he can use the Hadouken/Kamehameha, whichever one you prefer to call it. Players will be able to pre-register for Striker, while he’ll be released in Korea on April 20th.
A twist in the proceedings was that the Black Desert Online team revealed that Kamasylvia wouldn’t be finished in three parts, but rather, it’d be finished in the next patch for it. That’s right, you just got the rest of the region at a much faster pace than originally planned. You’ll be able to explore it all, including the capital city Grana, which is under the blessing of the elven queen and the Ganelles. You’ll get to see just how diverse the elven culture is through the city.
What’s this picture above you ask? Well, Black Desert Online is getting a mountable airship. Yep, you heard that right, a mountable airship. This ship will allow you to go to places that you might not be able to go to on foot. The catch though is that the ship is mighty slow, but, it’s one heck of a view.
There was even more revealed at the event, but one thing is clear, if you play Black Desert Online, you have a lot to be excited about.
