A new MMORPG has arrived on Steam for the US and Europe, and it’s Kakao Games and PearlAbyss’ Black Desert Online, an MMORPG that has been around for a while, but is only now getting onto Steam. Their game has won numerous awards during its run, and now, it has a chance to get a whole new audience. As a bonus, if you get Black Desert Online on Steam before May 31st, you’ll actually get the game for 40% off. That’s quite a deal for a game as packed with content as this one is.

To ensure that Black Desert Online runs efficiently for all new players, they’re going to be getting a load of new servers to put to use. Some of these will even be used just for new players, to avoid lag or ping issues. But, you will also have the option of choosing from these servers, or going straight into the fire itself and pick a server filled with veteran players. It’s your call.

To celebrate this launch, as well as to have new players feel truly welcome, the team is offering a load of events to participate in and items to get right off the bat. For example, if you choose the new Striker class, you can participate in a race to get your Striker to as high a level as you can before June 21st. If you win? How about an Alienware Aurora Gaming Desktop?

Or, if you’re more video inclined, you can participate in a fan trailer contest where all you have to do is make a cool Black Desert Online trailer, upload it to Youtube with the tag  [Black Desert Fan Trailer] and the community will decide who’s the winner.

This is just the beginning of what’s being offered, don’t miss a single thing by going to the Black Desert site and reading up on what’s happening right now.
