Black Desert Online is set to receive some scheduled maintenance on a large scale. Over the course of the next week, global servers will receive brief shut-downs in order to adjust and balance the game, as some new content is being added.
Starting tomorrow, global servers will be down from 9 UTC to 16 UTC, so I’d avoid playing Black Desert Online tomorrow if it could be helped.
The Dragon World Boss Nouver has been added to the game. This, along with the balancing of a few minor class niches results in this incredibly large scale maintenance.
For those who don’t know, Black Desert Online is an action MMO that focuses on action-based combat similar to a hack-and-slash, using its diverse class lineup to create unique and versatile styles of play. For instance, there are numerous magic-based classes, while other classes such as the traditional Warrior is a bit more unique in this particular game.
Black Desert Online has a very interesting blend of traditional Eastern styles of combat, with Samurai and Ninja warriors being playable, as well as the type of MMO classes we’re used to seeing, which are generally more in line with classic Western tropes, such as knights.
Again, if you’re a fan of Black Desert Online, the game is going to be undergoing massive maintenance tomorrow, so make sure to take a break, but when you come back, expect a few balance changes. The game will no doubt be better off for it. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
