Getting a title to as many players as possible is always a big desire for video game developers, and with technology being what it is today, there’s a lot of options for them to choose from. One of the biggest ones no doubt is Steam, and the fan-favorite service is about to get a fan/critic favorite MMORPG in the form of Black Desert Online. Kakao Games and PearlAbyss have revealed via press release that their game is coming to Steam on May 24th.
For those who don’t know, Black Desert Online is an incredibly deep and robust MMORPG that gives you the chance to personalize your character in a way that few games ever let you do. You’ll be given the chance to customize them with extreme detail. The game boasts “the deepest character customization system ever seen,” and given how many RPGs and MMORPGs allow you to customize characters, that’s saying something. Add that to the 13 classes you can choose from for your character and you have a lot of options to think about.
Once you’ve got your character made, you’ll be put into a vast world that is incredibly detailed, as well as deep in the content you can partake in. The team notes that their world is “alive” and you’ll see just what they mean as you explore it. Plus, as with any MMORPG there’s going to be combat. But Black Desert Online has a deep skill-based combat system that’ll be more than just clicking buttons. And you’ll get to test those skills in modes like Arena mode, guild vs guild, node wars, castle siege, and of course classic PvP.
Or, if you’re looking for a more simplistic and fun experience, you can farm the land and grow your own crops. Or, you can capture and tame wild horses for your very own stable. Black Desert Online gives you total freedom to do what you want.
So, if you haven’t tried it yet, you might want to consider getting it when it arrives on Steam.
