Bethesda presents one of the most anticipated and intriguing conferences out of the entire E3 roster, particularly over the last few years, and rightfully so given the roster of blockbuster games that it has to offer.
You may recall the following image doing the rounds on the internet a short time ago, with “Bethesdaland” showcasing different game franchises with two under construction.
Looking at the image going from the top center and going clockwise, we can see representations of The Elder Scrolls, Doom, Quake, Fallout, Dishonored and Prey, with two games being left under wraps.
This leaves two notable absentees from the image, namely Wolfenstein and The Evil Within. To see sequels to these games would not be all that much of a surprise, with rumors circulating for quite some time regarding both having new entries worked on. For example, Wolfenstein voice actor Brian Bloom (voice of protagonist BJ Blazkowicz) all but confirming a new game back in October 2016, with the following DOS image surfacing online:
As far as Evil Within is concerned, we’ve seen job listings posted for Evil Within 2 (Psycho Break 2 in Japan) for what was translated to reveal a bug reporting role:
So it would seem that these two franchises making a return would be more than just a wild guess, and we won’t have to wait long to find out with Bethesda’s conference taking place tomorrow.
