Bayonetta is a very interesting game with a very interesting history. The franchise is made by Platinum Studios, who is known for their over-the-top action and style, and this series has that in spades. Plus, the game has one of the sassiest characters in video game history via Bayonetta herself. The game debuted on Xbox 360 and PS3, but when a sequel wasn’t approved by them, the franchise made a surprising debut on the Nintendo Wii U, and now, with the confirmation of the third game coming to the Switch, the first two are coming to the Switch as well.
But, if you’re in Japan, you have a special opportunity, as the Bayonetta Non-Stop Climax Edition will bundle the first two games together and throw in some really cool stuff. You’ll get not only Switch cartridges for the first two games, but also, some unique collectible cards, a trio of stickers, and a steelbook to house them all in. But now, as NintendoSoup reports, the special edition will feature language support for Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Why should you care? Well, it means you can import the game from Japan (or whatever other countries it comes out for, it won’t be the US though) and be able to fully understand the game. Plus, you’ll get all the cool stuff! Who wouldn’t want that?
The Non-Stop Climax Edition, along with the standard edition, will arrive on February 17th for the Switch. As for Bayonetta 3, there’s no definitive date set for it as of yet. However, we can make some educated guesses in regards to what Platinum Studios will do. Between the first and second games they changed the look of Bayonetta herself, as well as upped the ante in terms of who she fought, and given the very grim nature of the third game’s teaser, things will likely get darker for her.
