The release to the upcoming remaster of Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, has been delayed indefinitely.
After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has made the decision to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham; a current-gen, remastered compilation of both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. This is to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver the most polished Batman Arkham game experience possible.
“We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.” – Warner
Batman: Return To Arkham was originally supposed to be out on the 29th July, but now sits with no release date. Warner Brothers might have learned their lesson after the launch of the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight, which caused them to issue refunds to players, even after a number of patches were released. While game delays can be infuriating, it generally works for the better, and the Batman games deserve well done remasters in my opinion.
