Everybody’s favourite competitive multiplayer mode will make its way into the upcoming Titanfall sequel. Developers Respawn Entertainment confirmed the news today that Attrition will in fact feature in Titanfall 2, following plentiful calls from fans to bring the mode back.
Attrition is Titanfall’s take on the traditional deathmatch mode, where teams fight against groups of AI-controlled robots and humans who drop in various locations across the map. The mode itself was missing from the Titanfall 2 Multiplayer Tech Test, raising questions as to whether the mode would make its way into the final game. A similar mode did feature however, in the form of Bounty Hunt which included AI enemies.
A developer post on Reddit confirmed the news, saying: I write this post to you because I know a lot of you have seen my #BePatient comments and dislike it or find it to mean I’m trolling. I do it out of love (sometimes its borderline trolling lol) I rather you be angry than feel like we don’t see your complaints and begin to run with random stories lol. So I’m here to tell you that I’m ending my #BePatient campaign! Going forward I’m going to use #WeDidITReddit. P.S – Attrition is in Titanfall 2. #WeDidITReddit.”
Titanfall 2 releases next month on October 28th, be sure to head to GamesDeal for a discounted offer on the game!
