One of the biggest and most anticipated releases near the end of last year was the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins. The Assassin’s Creed franchise had once been the pinnacle of gaming, but then a convoluted story and less than spectacular gameplay updates led it to being more mediocre than anything else. So, Ubisoft took a year off and really boiled down what the series needed to be in order to thrive once again. They found the right answer, as the game was the second-biggest seller in October with millions of sales.
Since then, Ubisoft has been slowly updating the game, with new Egyptian Gods to face, new quests to complete, and even a crossover with Final Fantasy XV. Yeah, an official one. But what’s in story for the game this year? Well, the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter made a very interesting post today, stating:

The Hidden Ones will truly be a worthy expansion, for as detailed on Ubisoft’s website, the story will feature Bayek and his followers as they take on the Roman Empire. The Hidden Ones will feature an all-new region in the game that the Romans’ occupy, and it’s your job to change that. Plus, you can expect a level cap increase to 45, among other interesting changes.
If you’re hoping for some more crossovers though, you’re in luck, for later this month, Assassin’s Creed Origins will feature a crossover with another Ubisoft game, For Honor, where armor from that game will come into play here, as well as numerous weapons.
