Fighting games make up one of the most popular genres in the world of video games. In fact, entire esports tournaments are filled with fighting games, including the recent EVO 2017. Some are realistic, some are cartoony. Some try for realistic styles of combat, and some crank it up to insane levels of fun. Either way, there’s a fighting game fan that’ll truly appreciate it. Now the team behind the Arcana Heart series wants to bring their latest version to PC and Steam via Kickstarter. And Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars has done just that.

With a little over 8 days to go, the game is nearing $200,000 raised, and the goal was initially just $100,000. That shows just how popular the game series is. While not that common in the US, it’s very popular in Japan as an arcade game. But the popularity grew so much that its titles were brought onto consoles and handhelds in the US. There was also a recent release of an earlier version of Arcana Heart 3 on Steam, and it was received very well. So when they made the Six Stars version, they decided to try and bring that over too.

Just by looking at the game you should be able to tell what this is all about. Insanely fast and frenetic gameplay, anime style girls (with questionable amounts of clothing) and a very nonsensical story that is best left for you to find out for yourself. But despite this, the game is very tight, and the animations are truly well done. In fact, the Six Stars version was meant to refine the fighting mechanics of the game while also adding new characters to the story and more.

So, if you’re up for an over-the-top anime style fighting game, then you might want to support Arcana Heart 3.
