There are usual suspects who manage to take the Play of the Game crown in each Overwatch match. The likes of Bastion for example is often a shoe in to take the award, among the likes of Roadhog, Reaper and others who are common players of the game on a regular basis. But are there heroes that aren’t awarded play of the game often enough, such as Ana?

With Ana’s healing abilities, along with nano boost and sleep dart, she showcases techniques that are often the difference between winning and losing for a team. Despite this, she’s very rarely awarded POTG, which seems a shame for a couple of reasons.

Not only because of her abilities, but because she’s also one of the highest skill cap characters in the entire roster. It could be argued that because of her arsenal and techniques in battle, she can be considered one of the more technical heroes to play as. Ana requires quite a game sense that promotes team work, yet she often doesn’t pick up the POTG award.

So why is this? Its simply down to the fact that her abilities leave it open for other heroes to deliver the killer blow. Other healing characters such as Mercy, as suggested by okteej on Reddit, can use her ultimate once to pick up the award for healing. Which goes for a lot of heroes granted, but shouldn’t Ana be granted POTG more often based on her contribution to the team?
