The winners of AION‘s Solorius Contest have been announced.
We covered the news of the Solorius Contest back in December. This Christmas-inspired competition had AION fans creating original artwork, baking cookies, and elaborating postcards inspired by the MMORPG for a chance at special prizes courtesy of the hardware brand ROCCAT. Spread across three categories, the winners would each take home a piece of ROCCAT hardware as well as a plush Shugo and the in-game item Stylish Winter Outfit.
The winner of the fanart category is player Colei, who won one ROCCAT Isku Keyboard alongside a plush Shugo and the in-game cosmetic Stylish Winter Outfits. The Solorius Biscuit category winner is the user Expensive who baked and assembled a creative AION logo made entirely of biscuits. Their prize, alongside the plush and the in-game outfit, is a Kiro mouse with a matching Taito Control mouse pad, both manufactured by ROCCAT. Finally, the creative postcard winner is Happiny, who took home a ROCCAT Renga Headset.
Gameforge also made public a small gallery comprised of other talented competitors who unfortunately weren’t able to take the ultimate prizes home. Still, their effort is admirable and worthy of recognition. You can check the gallery at the end of this post.
Published by Gameforge in Europe, AION is a Korean MMORPG first released in South Korea back in 2008. It found its way to Western regions later in 2009, where players and critics from this side of the globe had a chance to witness the game’s potential for character customization. Alas, the title’s core aspects, such as combat, were criticized for the lack of innovation and repetitive nature. Despite any negative comments, AION has been operative for many years and received a worthy collection of expansions along the way.
AION is published in Europe for Windows PC by the company Gameforge.
