Steam is a wonderful place for a multitude of indie games of all shapes and styles. And tomorrow indie game developer and publisher Visualnoveler is releasing its next game Chaos Souls. This side-scrolling action RPG of sorts will let you travel through many different lands and zones, all of which are teeming with monsters that need to be destroyed. But don’t worry, there’s a very big purpose to it. You see, you’re on a quest to save your sister, and she truly does need to be saved.
In the game, you play as Eris. She and her sister Petra lived quietly and safe in a forest for a very long time. It was their hope that this forest would protect them from the demon armies that were all around. Turns out, they weren’t fully safe, and a succubus named Azeth comes in one day and captures Petra. Now knowing they’re not safe, Eris must gather her strength and find Petra before all is lost.
Chaos Souls prides itself on its combat, and you’ll have the ability to customize Eris’ style so that it matches how you would like to play the game. The action is very fast-paced, and you’ll need to keep your whits about you if you’re going to survive the hordes of demons that are coming for you and trying to stop you from reaching Azesh.
But fear not, you won’t be alone, there will be some companions for you on this journey, each with their own unique personalities. And you’ll need them as you venture across different zones and fight six unique bosses.
If you haven’t watched the trailer, you’ll find that Chaos Souls takes pride in its anime style, right down to the character art, so if you’re into that, you’ll definitely want to get this game when it arrives on Steam November 7th.
