There could be some exciting news on the horizon for fans of Gearbox Software franchises! Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford sent out a tweet just a couple of days ago with news on upcoming titles that the company are working on, including a possible hint at the name of the next Borderlands entry.
Pitchford stated at PAX East back in April there will indeed be a new Borderlands game, and although it is in development there was no word on whether the title would be Borderlands 3 or something else. Within the tweet he mentions the title “Borderland” which has raised speculation as to whether this is indeed the title to the next game or could just simply be a typo. Usually the simplest explanation is often the correct one which leans towards this being a misspelling, but who knows?
The tweet also states that news on other Gearbox games such as Duke Nukem, Battleborn and Homeworld will be revealed at the PAX West event this weekend. Keep your calendar open for Friday in particular, especially for all you Duke Nukem fans out there, as the countdown timer on the official site rolls down to celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary and also coincides with the Gearbox Main Theater show taking place.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information this Friday.
