2D Platformer Spartan Now Available on Xbox One

Do you own an Xbox One? Have a hankering for a challenging 2D platformer? Then look no further than Spartan, which is now available on the Microsoft home console.

This epic 2D adventure offers up eye-catching animations and addictive controls with the Unreal Engine 4 at work, whilst bringing both non-linear levels, and perhaps more importantly, tough but fair gameplay. Many platformers of this ilk often present a difficulty that is a bit much, but Spartan seems to have found a decent balance.

Players will take up the role of King Leo, as he searches for his stolen goods whilst armed with a classic combination of shield and sword to take out all monsters that stand in his way. The game is available via the Xbox Games Store for $15.99, though it isn’t currently available in the UK at the time of writing this.

So head out on an adventure, traversing massive non-linear levels backed by an original soundtrack to get back King Leo’s City-State stolen goods, whilst chopping down those who are responsible for ever crossing you. Watch out for not only devastating mythical monsters, but for deadly traps set to stop you in your path in what looks to offer up an intense platforming adventure.
