Gamora is mostly known as Thanos’ pet assassin, killing anyone just to earn her father’s love. But, she realises that she’s capable of much more over time!
The GAMORA series aims to show how Gamora went from being a cold-blooded, ruthless killer to an earnest role model to women everywhere, being a strong, dependable member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Gamora as a character has a lot of depth, as well as darkness, that is going to be shown throughout the GAMORA series. We get to see her origins, and how she realized that she could be much more than Thanos’ personal weapon. Her backstory is full of grief and sadness, as we get to see how Thanos rescued her from the Zen Whoberi massacre when she was only an infant. He raised her in such a manner that she only had violence and weapons to use to impress Thanos.
Her relationship with Nebula was also quite interesting considering that Thanos pitted them against each other to compete for his love. Talk about unhealthy sibling relations! The GAMORA series aims to show Gamora’s psychology and just how twisted it is. We get to see how she went from being a violent, damaged person to a truly determined protector of the weak, and how she eventually became a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy!
