When it comes to the massive world of MMOs, the history of how everything came together is necessary, if not vital, to the overall structure of the game. After all, it’s the history that tells us how the races came to be, formed their nations, went to war, made peace, and more. Skyforge does this very well with their “History Of Aelion Lessons”, and a new one was posted today.
This lesson covers Donholk Glacier, which is on Western Inkara’s shores. It’s also home to a nearby research station always filled with scientists and Templars. The glacier is stretched at the foot of a mountain range. In fact, Donholk is a few thousand-year-old submontane glacier composed of a dozen valley glaciers that interflowed upon exiting onto a plain. Not unlike what happens in our real world Its formation actually allowed for numerous caves and tunnels to be located inside of it.
Interestingly enough, despite its prominence, it was pretty much avoided at first, because it resided in such a desolate area that no one could survive there. And they were right for a time, as no animals or such things lived around there.
However, as scientists began to explore the caves within the glacier, they found something they didn’t expect. The Reapers of Death, loyal minions of Thanatos were within the caves, and killed both scientists and Templars in order to keep their existence there a secret. However, now they are revealed, and it’s up to players to defend Aelion from them.
So there you go, another history lesson straight from Skyforge. Did you like it? You learn something? Let us know!
