This month will see brand new features come to Xbox Insiders such as a new Party overlay and more Arenas, which will be available in the coming weeks.
The Arena feature was announced back at E3 in 2016, which would give the opportunity to give regular players the chance to compete in esports competitions. In particular, World of Tanks and Killer Instinct will have tournaments opening up, as well as players being able to create their own tournaments in their clubs.
Arena is a feature that Microsoft intend to continue to grow, with other titles such as Halo Wars 2, Smite and more to accompany other gamer-created competitions. Meanwhile, the first public Arena prized tournament will be taking place with The Killer Instinct Battle for New York, which will see eight of the best KI players on show going head to head to win the grand prize of over $10,000 in cash and many other prizes from the New York Microsoft Store studio.
As for the new Party overlay, after adding features such as the Achievement tracker previously, there will now be a new overlay which will tell you who you are speaking to in your party, and players will be able to choose where on the screen they place it, similarly to the Achievement tracker. Whoever is speaking at the time, their Gamertag will be shown and will remain invisible when nobody is talking.
Xbox Insiders should keep an eye out for these new features, which should be available sometime very soon.
