Mass Effect: Andromeda EA Play Trailer
For fans eagerly anticipating the next installment in Bioware’s critically acclaimed Mass Effect series, this new trailer will satiate some of that hunger. Mass Effect: Andromeda has been one of the most anticipated games from EA this year, and at E3 they decided to deliver some new footage. EA wants you to know that the game, set to launch in 2017, is right on schedule with its immersive narrative and beautiful atmosphere being worked on consistently.
For players interested in games about world-building, exploring, and understanding characters on a deep level, Mass Effect is a series tailor-made for you. But unfortunately, some aspects of the third installment of the series left quite a bit to be desired. Fans felt as though there was not much payoff for three games’ worth of build-up. Mass Effect: Andromeda seeks to start from scratch, taking the game in a new direction with a unique cast and brand new setting. While much about the game has yet to be revealed, this trailer showcases some of the story you can expect.
The trailer showcases the vast and beautiful void of space, as well as some incredibly well-rendered environments and characters. It also features narration to give insight into what a player can expect out of this game’s story.
Bioware fans may be familiar with their work on the Dragon Age series as well, which has thus far concluded with Dragon Age: Inquisition. The team is most well known perhaps for their expansive world building and dedicated, talented writing staff. Their games have spanned over several consoles, from Xbox 360, to PS4, to Nintendo DS.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is on track to meet a launch window somewhere in 2017, and there’s no doubt that long-time fans of the series will be pulled right back into this large narrative-heavy experience.
