Marvel Heroes originally launched in 2013 for PC. It was an MMORPG that brought together just about every big name from the Marvel Comics universe and let players be them in exciting missions. The game has had many additions since then and allows for all kinds of Marvel-esque fun. But now, the game is about to get even bigger, and even better, and even more expansive. Why? Because a spinoff of it is coming to Xbox One and PS4, called Marvel Heroes Omega.
Who can you expect to see in Marvel Heroes Omega? Well, you’ll get to see the Avengers, the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Defenders, and that’s just barely scratching the surface of who’s going to be in the game. There will be a nine-chapter story for you to begin you journey across the Marvel universe, and it’ll feature classic Marvel villains like Loki and Doctor Doom.
Aside from just battling as some of the greatest heroes in the Marvel universe, you’ll also get to see the Marvel universe rendered in beautiful high-definition, and get to explore it as you go through missions. You’ll get to see the Hell’s Kitchen and other areas of New York, and even get to visit Asgard itself. Plus, there will be special headquarter areas that will let you see even more legendary locations.
Once you’re done with the main story, you can do many other things in Marvel Heroes Omega, such as taking part in special side missions, go on raids, have “fun” in the Danger Room, go on patrol, and much more.
The game is set to arrive this Spring, although no specific release date has been announced. So if you’re looking for a console MMO that just so happens to be comic-book based, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than Marvel Heroes Omega.
