After winning the very exciting NA LCS Spring Split bo5 finals against Cloud9, which secured their already safe spot for MSI, League of Legends’ Team SoloMid decided to put Doublelift back on the team. We’ve already covered Team SoloMid’s upcoming journey for MSI in detail, and the Spring roster will remain unchanged for that tournament.

For those who do not know, Yiliang Peng, better known as Doublelift, is a former Team SoloMid AD Carry that spent a few weeks playing for Team Liquid in the same role. Yesterday, it was announced on the official website of Team SoloMid that he will be back on the roster, sharing the ADC spot for upcoming the 2017 LCS Summer Split. The team now consists of six players, retaining current ADC WildTurtle. The extra addition to the ADC position might come in handy as players are known to burn out and can often work together on their mechanics or mistakes and play scrims at home. Doublelift also made a statement along with this:

“I’m really excited to be playing again on TSM, and feel reinvigorated from this break. After last season’s Worlds, I was overwhelmed by the weight of my massive underperformance when it mattered most. Coming back into LCS, my only priority is to win worlds and nothing else. It’s a huge honor to be able to play with everyone on TSM and I will make the most of it. This is the hungriest that I’ve ever been to succeed, and soon I will prove it to my teammates, my fans, and the world.”

Even though many might expect with this announcement that Doublelift would be in Brazil for MSI, that won’t be case. WildTurtle will be the one performing during the event as Doublelift practices for the Summer Split. He is about to move to an apartment located near the TSM gaming house and pretty enter back into the organizations regular routines. Hopefully for TSM, after his brief hiatus, he comes back stronger than ever and shows everyone that taking a well-deserved break isn’t going to stop him from being one of the best players in League of Legends.
