FINAL FANTASY XIV

The last pillar of the Warring Triad, Zurvan makes its appearance in FINAL FANTASY XIV as part of the upcoming patch 3.5.

An ancient trinity of primals, the Warring Triad made its first playable appearance in patch 3.2 with the trial Containment Bay S1T7 in which the Warriors of Light fight Sephirot, the Fiend. Next, patch 3.4 brought Sophia, the Goddess, as the main threat found within Containment Bay P1T6. Finally, patch 3.5 will give players the chance to eradicate the Warring Triad by defeating Zurvan, the Demon in Containment Bay Z1T9.

Containment Bay Z1T9 will be available for disciples of war and magic at level 60 and can be accessed upon completing the quest “Balance unto All”. As part of the quest “The Last Pillar to Fall”, the instance is meant for eight players (a full party consisting of two tanks, two healers, and 4 DPS) and must be cleared within 60 minutes. Furthermore, the Extreme version of the trial will be part of the quest A Demonic Duplicate and is unlocked upon completing “The Last Pillar to Fall”.

In FINAL FANTASY XIV lore, primals are god-like beings summoned by the beast tribes to advert their particular struggles, most notably the Garlean Empire and the territorial advances of the city-states of Eorzea. These enemies are born from the aether and take form in the material world through the strong desires of their subjects who use massive amounts of crystals to perform the summoning rituals. The majority of them are classic FINAL FANTASY summons and bosses such as Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda, all of which can be summoned in an “egi” form by the DPS job Summoner.
