It looks as if Echo Fox are looking to make strides in the competitive fighting Esports scene, acquiring a line-up of talented pros to add to their roster. This list includes Street Fighter V players Justin Wong, Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi, Yusuke Momochi and Yuko “ChocoBlanka” Momochi.
These fine players will be accompanied by the likes of Mortal Kombat X players Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, Brad “Scar” Vaughan and Super Smash Bros Wii U player Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez Perez. Former Evil Geniuses FGC manager Antonio Javier has also signed to Echo Fox. “From day one, our goal has always been to build the premier esports organization in the world, setting the new standard for professionalism, team achievement and player development and wellness. Today’s announcement demonstrates our willingness to think big, think global and execute a strategic battle plan,” founder Rick Fox stated.
These seven new additions bring plenty of experience to the organization, with several Evo victories in Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Marvel Versus, as well as wins in MKX Pro League and the Capcom Cup. Not to mention prestigious titles elsewhere, with victories in championships of the same multitude from various other fighting games.
Echo Fox CEO Jace Hall recently told Yahoo Esports: “Everyone is bringing something to the table here in terms of experience, in terms of their insights into strategy for the different games. When you’re surrounded by other champions, it really helps you step your game and feel like you’re part of something bigger and contributing at that level.”
