With each passing month, Diablo III seems to grow bigger and bigger. And now, a new patch is set to make it even bigger than before. Yes, that is apparently possible.
It should be noted right now though, that the patch, and the content attached to it, is not downloaded automatically. So, if you play the game for the first time today, it will not be there. Furthermore, if you live in the US or South America (where the patch is available first), you won’t be able to do Global Play with other regions until the patch is ready for them.
So, what’s new in this patch? Well, first up, a new general event, to honor the 20th anniversary of Diablo is here for gamers to partake in. In it, a mysterious group of Cultists is causing trouble in the realm, and you need to hunt them down in Adventure Mode. Doing this won’t go unrewarded, as you’ll uncover clues that reveal a portal into Tristram’s past, and rediscover the terrifying darkness that took over the town long ago. Note, this event is only available for January.
In the classes department, the Barbarian class has been upgraded, along with some bug being fixed that concerned it. For those who like Legendary Items, the Red Soulstone Shard is now included in the game. There are also plenty of other items that are focused on the classes. Including ones for the Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, and more.
